Fight the fascist collaboration of NYPD and Israeli miltiary

New York City December 10,–About 400 members of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and other organizations marched tonight to the offices of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to protest ADL’s sponsorship of U.S. police training by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). There were simultaneous marches inTel Aviv, Israel, and several other U.S. cities. These actions along with the pressure mounted by JVP caused two police departments to cancel their trips to Israel, which has never happened before.
Soon after 9/11, police departments from many major U.S cities, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the New York City (NYC) Transit Authority and other security organizations made these trips to Israel to learn from the police, military and intelligence agencies there.

George H.W. Bush – racist henchman for imperialism

The first George Bush president from 1988–1992, died on November 30, 2018, and has since been lionized by the bosses’ media and politicians. But Bush’s vicious, racist legacy caused decades of death and suffering, for the working class around the world.
The U.S. ruling class wishes its murderous actors would carry out their roles with finesse, rather than bumbling ineptness like Trump. Bush committed mass murder in the name of spreading democracy, as have all U.S. rulers since this country’s inception. It matters not whether we assess liberal or conservative, Democratic or Republican presidents – they all kill and oppress the workers of the world in order to preserve power and resources. It is the capitalist/imperialist imperative, a system that must be overthrown with workers’ power.

History: The Flint sit-down strike against General Motors

The sit-down strike and occupation of the General Motors’(GM) Fisher Body plant No. 1 in Flint, Michigan, for 44 days and nights —  from December 30, 1936 to February 11, 1937 — demonstrated the power of workers in the basic industries, a central outlook of the three-year-old Progressive Labor Movement, that later inspired the Progressive Labor Party.
 A sit-down strike occupies the means of production, preventing the bosses’ use of scabs to resume operations and is harder to attack than an outside picket line. Any company frontal assault would endanger millions of dollars’ worth of machinery. While not a revolutionary act, Flint sit-down was completely controlled by the rank-and-file, although the press and GM labeled it as “Soviet-style tyranny.” GM CEO Alfred Sloan called it “revolutionary in its dangers and implications,” possibly because communists played a central role in its organization and leadership.

Class War and Tear Gas

On November 24, in the heart of Paris, the French ruling class used the chemical weapon known as tear gas to terrorize a mass protest against rising taxes, stagnant wages, and widening inequality. It was a dramatic sign of escalating class warfare amid the worldwide crisis of capitalism.
The following day, in Tijuana, Mexico, in an even more blatant act of state terror, desperate Central America refugees were tear-gassed by the U.S. Border Patrol as some tried to run toward asylum in California. Wind wafted the gas more than half a mile from the border fence. One woman collapsed unconscious. Small barefoot children in diapers were overwhelmed by pain and respiratory distress. “I felt that my face was burning, and my baby fainted,” Cindy Milla, a 23-year-old migrant from Honduras, told the Wall Street Journal (11/25). She and her two children had been attacked by a nerve agent so dangerous and uncontrollable that it is “outlawed on the battlefield by nearly every nation on Earth, including the United States” (Washington Post, 11/27).

What began as a 300,000-strong protest against planned hikes in fuel taxes on November 17 have transformed into a mass uprising against president Emmanuel Macron. Refugee Caravan SMASH ALL BORDERS

CHICAGO, November 25—At a solidarity event here to support of the thousands of refugee workers at the U.S.-Mexico border, Progressive Labor Party denounced the hypocrisy of the liberal wing of the ruling class.
 Immigrant workers are met with vicious racist attacks while attempting to cross state borders. by the bosses’ border agents shut down ports of entry entirely and they fire tear gas canisters at children when the workers resist.

STRIKE AGAINST RACIST INEQUALITY

NEW YORK CITY, December 5—Over the past few years, conditions at City University of New York (CUNY) campuses have gotten progressively worse, tuition has steadily increased and CUNY is chronically underfunded. CUNY students, 56 percent of whom are Black or Latin, are the primary targets of this racist underfunding. Not surprisingly, CUNY part time faculty (adjuncts) work for poverty wages. At the same time as the CUNY bosses and their politician stooges, along with the weak union leadership, are preparing to shove a racist, austere budget down the throats of the 26,000 faculty and 250,000 students, many faculty are organizing to strike. As we organize to strike, let’s talk about getting rid of this whole, damn, racist capitalist system.

Join the fight to support refugee workers

NEW YORK, NY, December 1—As many as 8,000 working-class families mostly from Honduras are traveling by foot to the southern U.S. border. More than 3,000 are already in Tijuana and many more are passing through Mexico City. They are fleeing poverty, corruption and violence that is largely the result of more than a century of domination by U.S. imperialism. This was most recently displayed in the U.S.-backed coup that overthrew the democratically-elected liberal reformer Zelaya in Honduras in 2009, forcing a mass exodus to escape poverty, crime, drug trafficking and police violence. They join more than 60 million refugees around the world, from Africa to South Asia, from Syria to Somalia, trying to escape the horrors of war and terror. This is the fruit of world-wide imperialism. Workers of the world need communist revolution.

Haiti: Workers strike on Vertière anniversary

HAITI,November 18—Every year on this day, we celebrate the Battle of Vertière, the last battle before the declaration of independence from France on Jan. 1, 1804. This year, however, was significantly different as tens of thousands of workers and students all across Haiti took to the streets to join the battle against massive corruption in the PetroCaribe scandal (where the bourgeoisie has pocketed billions of dollars meant to fund education, infrastructure, etc.). Demanding the ousting of Jovenel Moïse, in whom they have no confidence to find and punish the guilty, the masses barricaded the streets. Their bosses responded by sending out all of its armed might, including hooded thugs known as cagoulards, who murdered at least a dozen protesters.

No justice for Mohamed Bah

New York City, November 28—Our justice and peace coalition dramatically indicted mayor Bill deBlasio and the New York Police Department (NYPD) for Racist Murder!  We hosted a press conference organized by workers and Hawa Bah the mother of a police murder victim. In 2012 Bah’s desperate call to 911, for her mentally ill son Mohamed would prove deadly. That’s because when the police arrived, they brushed her aside, kicked in the door of her son’s apartment, and executed him with seven bullets! The movement for justice for Mohamed,whose life was senselessly snuffed out by the kkkops two years before of his thirtieth birthday, finally won a civil court victory after a relentless six year struggle.
